Computer Engineers are going to be in evergreen demand as computers have pervaded each and every sphere of human life. Looking to huge requirement of Computer Engineers in country and around the world, IITM has been running this Department since its very inception. The Department has an abundant pool of computers. Keeping with its policy to save the environment, the Institute has procured the low carbon emission type of modern N-computing technology. All the laboratories are well furnished and are equipped with all the necessary hardware and software. Scholarly and hardworking Faculty forms the backbone of the Department

ELIGIBILITY
B.TECH (4 YEARS)
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Information Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship.
Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category of Haryana Only) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
Passed minimum 3 years Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category of Haryana Only) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
