SIH-Internal Hackathon

The Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon 2025 was successfully organized on 13th September 2025 at IITM College of Engineering, Bahadurgarh. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 40 teams comprising 240 students who came forward with creativity and determination.

The hackathon revolved around real-life problem statements aligned with the SIH 2025 themes, which included:

  1. Digital Mental Health and Psychological Support Systems for Students

  2. High-fidelity Road Network Modelling for Indian Traffic Simulation

  3. Civic Issue Reporting and Resolution Systems

  4. AI-based Crop Recommendation for Farmers

  5. Smart Classroom & Timetable Scheduler

  6. Secure Data Wiping for IT Asset Recycling

  7. Smart Agriculture for Efficient Cultivation in Hilly Regions

  8. Smart Digital Platforms to Promote Eco & Cultural Tourism

  9. Image-based Breed Recognition for Cattle and Buffaloes

Each team worked on innovative solutions and presented their prototypes/ideas before the jury panel. The judging criteria were based on novelty, feasibility, technical complexity, scalability, usability, and teamwork.

Hackathon

The "TechGiant - 2024" Technical Fest, hosted by the Department of Computer Science at IITM College of Engineering on March 15-16, 2024, featured the TechGaint 1.0 Hackathon in collaboration with the many sponsors. The hackathon included 120 participants in 30 teams, presenting diverse projects that emphasized creativity and technical skills essential for innovation. It provided networking opportunities, skill enhancement, and talent exposure, along with meals for all attendees and accommodations for non-Delhi participants. The judging panel, comprising Mr. Rishabh Bansal from INGRAM MICRO(EX ORACLE) and Ms. Disha Luthra, Project Management at Google, ensured thorough evaluation and recognition for outstanding projects. All the participants received certificates, and winners, first and second runners-up got cash prizes of Rs 5000/-, Rs 3000/-, and Rs 2000/- respectively, along with the trophies.
